The Green County Crime Stoppers program helps solve crimes. Crime Stoppers is a service that rewards tipsters (up to $1000) when they supply valuable information about crimes. All tipsters have the right to remain anonymous.

Green County Crime Stoppers now has the ability to accept tips by email online or by texting from a cellular phone. To submit information online, tipsters should go to http://greencountycrimestoppers.com/ Click under "here" in the Online instructions and follow the formats for the online tip submission. To submit information by texting from a cellular phone, tipsters should text GREENTIP, followed by their tip to '274637'. All tips are encryted, so callers always will remain anonymous. The Green County Crime Stoppers representative may reply to the tipster and request additional details. The Green County Crime Stoppers Board of Directors has dedicated funding to enhance the program to receive tips online or by texting. Other organizations that have implemented the program have tripled the number of tips received, thereby solving more crimes and as a result, presenting more cash rewards. During the upcoming weeks and months, additional advertising will educate the community on how to submit tips online or by texting.
